Stu Hines
Sensei

Stu started Martial Arts at a young age training in Goju-ryu Karate for a few years and eventually developed a deep interest in Japan. After a break from martial arts, he decided to start Judo and Jujitsu in 2016 and has been dedicated ever since. Stu enjoys Judo because it is challenging and fulfilling to get a clean throw. He also greatly appreciates the technical aspect of Judo and is always striving to apply techniques with minimum effort. His favorite technique is Gyaku Ippon Seoi Nage. Additionally, Stu has lived in Japan and speaks Japanese. He visits and trains in Japan almost annually at Yuu Dojo in Yamaguchi. He has also trained in Hiroshima and competed in the Tsukinamishiai (monthly tournament). Stu has a great respect for self defense, individual responsibility and accountability.
